All tours are on gravel roads with minimal to no paved surfaces. Flint Hills gravel can vary greatly, from hard packed and smooth to rough chunks of small stones. Moderate & Hard tours can include segments on minimally maintained roads with dirt, grass, and near single track conditions.
Easy: 5-10 mile routes with short mild climbs and descents with segments of flat terrain. Tours are suitable for those comfortable on a bike. Moderate physical condition is essential to your enjoyment of the tour.
Moderate: 10 to 20 miles in length, these routes combine the steep climbs of Hard routes with shorter distances of Easy routes. A good fitness level will allow you to enjoy this tour.
Hard: 20+ mile routes with segments of high effort on steep and long climbs and intense descents. Solid fitness is a must.
